The Thankfulness Pumpkin

I’ve shared over and over again the ways in which our family is striving to be intentional about the practice of gratitude. The darkness and haunting uncertainty of the world around us makes me cling to this commitment even more tightly. For those of you who have been tracking with me for a while, you likely already know about my favorite fall family tradition – the thankfulness pumpkin. Every fall, we implement the nightly ritual of each family member (and guests when they’re with us!) choosing one specific item of gratitude to have written on our little pumpkin. The goal is to choose something different every night, which is getting even more fun as our kids get older. Somehow, remembering the sweet moments and little gifts that fill our days gives me hope amidst the chaos that swirls around us.

On the Way

This was a really meaningful conversation with my new friend Max Botner. So much of what we discussed stands near and dear to my heart, both personally and professionally. Enjoy!
What I'm Reading...

This is undoubtedly one of the most significant Christian theologies of Israel written in the last few decades. Griffiths addresses an absolutely central set of questions, and his attempt at sketching a response to these questions is novel, compelling and deeply provocative.

May our practice of gratitude be woven deeply into the fabric of our days and our lives.

Enjoying the crisp air,
Jen
