Hill and Markes, Inc. Holds Ribbon Cutting for New Facility at Florida Business Park Extension

Hill and Marke’s, which is the first company to locate in the newly developed Florida Business Park Extension, recently held a Ribbon Cutting at their new 125,000 sq. ft. facility (http://vimeo.com/30828759
). The Florida Business Park Extension is a 130 acre industrial park and has been designated as a magnet site for Foreign Trade Zone #121. The development of the park is a collaborative effort of the Montgomery County Industrial Development Agency and Montgomery County with 87 acres still available for development.
To help facilitate the development of this project the Montgomery County Industrial Development Agency offered tax incentives and Montgomery County, through their Revolving Loan Fund program, issued a $500,000 loan. This project will lead to the retention of 141 employees and the creation of 48 over the next three years. Hill & Markes Inc., is a family owned business for over 100 years and is recognized and respected for the growth and professional approach within the wholesale distribution industry. Hill & Markes distributes janitorial, industrial packaging, food service, ice cream products, farmand office products to various market segments throughout the country. Hill & Markes is owned and operated by Neal Packer, C.O.O., Andrea Finkle Packer, Vice President of Marketing, and Jeffrey Finkle, President.

The Montgomery County Business Development Center is a comprehensive resource for business and economic development and planning services throughout Montgomery County.
