The NYS Forum, Inc. and the NYS CIO Council are pleased to announce that Das Velez, Executive Director of the Division of Minority and Women-Owned Business Development, will provide an update on the impact of the M/WBE legislation recently passed. Geared to both vendor and agency procurement staff, this all-day session will focus on procurement laws; guidelines and basic components of a typical RFP for IT services; best practices for developing and structuring the RFP and the evaluation instrument; and how to avoid common pitfalls in developing and responding to RFPs.

About Montgomery County Business Development Center
The Montgomery County Business Development Center is a comprehensive resource for business and economic development and planning services throughout Montgomery County. Available services include business development and technical assistance; company and facility siting; workforce and labor development; and government coordination, including permit processes and Empire Zone incentives. In addition, the Center provides County Planning services and grant writing. The Montgomery County Business Development Center is comprised of the Montgomery County Industrial Development Agency and the Montgomery County Department of Economic Development and Planning. The Montgomery County Department of Economic Development and Planning is also the Tourism Promotion Agency for Montgomery County.
