Hi <<First Name>>,

After a very challenging year, we wish you a restful time at Christmas and New Year, and very much hope you are not caught in the distressing wave of covid challenging so many people’s plans to catch up with family and friends, and holiday plans.
While we can be very grateful for the way the virus has been handled in Australia – we do know many people have suffered the loss of loved ones, or painful anxiety seeing loved people ill. You are very much in our thoughts.
As a special message at this time, here is a video made by Tasmanian GP Dr Anna Seth.
It covers some basic aspects of looking after our mental health in response to climate change. It was recorded as part of a project by Tasmanian students involved in the School Strike for Climate Action in September 2020, when it was shown in classrooms around the state.
See below information about our Climate Grief Workshop Feb 27th.

Last minute Christmas Gift suggestion!

If you are looking for a gift that gives, what about considering a donation to Psychology for a Safe Climate – to help keep our work growing as more and more groups reach out for support from us for their members.
Best wishes

Workshop: Acknowledging our grief about climate change

Psychology for a Safe Climate is offering this workshop on recognise our grief for climate change. This is for those working on climate change as activists, researchers, scientists or policy makers and advocates.

The work so many are doing means thinking about the realities of climate change every day. It can mean living with the here and now implications of climate change impacts. This workshop will provide a space for participants to reflect on and express the emotional burden of working on climate change, especially the many faces of grief. There will also be a segment on self care.

When: Saturday 27th February 2020, 2PM- 5PM
Where: Online via Zoom (link sent following registration).
