Dodd Galleries Upcoming Events

Lamar Dodd School of Art / University of Georgia

Welcome back to the Dodd Galleries newsletter! We've made a few changes over the summer such as a slightly new moniker "the Dodd Galleries" and a new director of the school, Chris Garvin, who is an amazing supporter of all we do and is sure to be at several of the below events (introduce yourself, don't be shy!). Now that Fall has officially begun we are busting with excitement to share with you all that is happening this month at the Galleries. First up, this Wednesday Texas photographer Barry Stone will lecture on his work and perform with his video currently on display in Gallery 101. Joining in this art and music performance are Athens area musicians Quiet Evenings & Future Apes Tapes as well as touring artists Jung Bouquet & Circuit des Yeux.

On September 12th we're thrilled to be opening four new exhibitions in the Galleries that feature the work of Athens photographers Rinne Allen, Carl Martin, & Michael Lachowski, LA sculptor Ry Rocklen, and Dodd graduate students Jessica Machacek and Zipporah Thompson. To celebrate these exhibitions we'll be throwing an ART PARTY with catered food by our favorites Wild Food Catering, ice cream from the Lil' Ice Cream Dude, tunes courtesy of DJ Quincy, and a special pizza photo opportunity that you won't want to miss out on. Read the details below and mark your calendars.

We can't wait to see you!
