A Great Time Was Had by All!
Message from our AGM and seminar Well another year…. another great turnout for our annual meeting of top Consultants, Quality Observers and Industry members.

Thank you again to all those great companies and organizations who sponsored our special day – We could not have done it without your very generous support. The entire board looks forward to next year’s event, and I am quite sure that we will endeavor to provide an even better door prize!!!

Our next scheduled event will be our One Day Asset Management Course, taking place on Friday April 27th, 2012 at the RCABC facility located in Langley BC. The day’s event and subject matter are as the title implies, all related to Roof Asset Management questions and procedures, all aimed at treating the roof as a business asset.  Key members of our industry will be presenting on a variety of subjects and should make for a very interesting time.

A comprehensive course textbook will be provided to all attendees.

Also upcoming is the annual RCI Convention and Trade Show, being held this year in Dallas Texas. As we have written in past issues of this newsletter, we encourage all members to make this pilgrimage at least once during their careers; it is a meeting of minds second to none.

Lastly, we would like to embolden all members – Professional and Industry, to join us in building up our great Association. Have a slow browse of our WEBSITE and see if there is a committee that resonates with you!!

Contract Admin. Course SeriesRCI Western Canada Chapter is pleased to be continuing our series of Luncheon Seminars to review principles and protocols of Contract Documents and Administration. The introduction session was held October 27th, 2011, during our fall waterproofing seminar, the second session during our AGM seminar.

One of the key objectives of these 1-hour sessions will be to help the Consultant and Contractor alike, understand their professional roles and responsibilities for a variety of different Contract Documents.

The philosophy behind the effective preparation of Contract Documents is to establish a standard location for specific information and to state that information clearly in that one location. By providing an orderly and logical arrangement of data, all parties involved in the said Administration and Observance of these Documents are greatly assisted.

For further information on these Luncheon series please contact or Education Committee Chair, which can be found on our rciwesterncanada.org web site.
