It is hunting season at Juniper Mountain.

Fall is in the air and the sounds of elk bugling are an indication that hunting has begun at Juniper Mountain. We have a great selection of big bulls this year ranging from 400 to 550. For those of you not wanting a monster bull, we have plenty of elk ranging from management bulls to up to 399. The bison herd looks great also. With lots of moisture in August the range is lush and green.

All our regular guides are back with us and ready to hunt; Mike Smith, Mark Harris, Robert Davies, John Rumsey and Hal Buster. Thanks to all of you who have booked hunts with Juniper Mountain. We appreciate your business. If you haven’t booked a hunt we have a few dates available in September and October and several openings in November.

This fall we are offering a hunt for a 400-420 bull elk to help a local young hunter realize his dream of walking again. Chris Caudle was injured in an automobile accident and is hoping to walk again with the help of an Ekso bionic suit. If you are interested in helping Chris achieve his dream of walking once more, you can place a bid on this fantastic hunt of a 400-420 bull valued at $12,950.

Please contact us with your bid by October 1, 2014. A portion of your bid is tax deductible and the minimum bid is $13,000. If you place the winning bid we will notify you after October 1 to arrange the details of your hunt. All proceeds will be donated to “help Chris walk”. If you want to know more about Chris please visit http://www.gofundme.com/ah6yhs.
