Mavericks Frost Wave Winter Ale Release

In honor of the crisp holiday season in the Bay Area, the Half Moon Bay Brewing Company has created a big, malty winter warmer called Mavericks Frosty Wave Winter Ale. Don your funkiest holiday sweater and join Brewmaster James Costa in the bar for the release of this brand new ale on December 6 from 5pm-7pm.

The Frosty Wave Winter Ale is a big, malty winter warmer brewed with Glen Eagles malt and Chinook hops. It is brewed in the style of an English Strong Ale and has a lightly hoppy aroma and subtle Scotch whiskey notes with a dry finish. Its rich caramel and dark fruit flavors are balanced by the spiciness of the hops. Alcohol by volume is 6.8%.

We have an extensive selection; from our private label Mavericks mulled wine to Mavericks Beer Cocktails and menu selections from our beer brat corn pops with house made beer mustard, to Ahi Poke Cucumber Bites. Elegant dinner? Try our stuffed California Sea Bass with local artichokes and Gouda cheese or pork loin with cranberries and beer mustard. We can accommodate your needs from 25 to 125, including our completely private venue, the Mavericks Event Center.

Funky Holiday Apparel, Beer Tasting & Califuegos

Our 2^nd annual Funky Holiday Apparel – aka Ugly Christmas Sweater Night – is Friday night at 7pm. Come early for free tastings of our Frosty Wave Winter Ale from 5pm-7pm.
