What's up this week with
Believers On Mountain Bikes (BOMB)

Weekly Update

Remember winter? Well that was last week and now Enchanted Forest is running so good right now in the Spring sunshine.   Just look at that picture above and get that bike ready to ride! The season is in full swing. Hope to to see you Thursday at Apex.

Have you ever had a bike, bike part, or trail that you just obsessed over?  It made you drool like a dog about to get a snack?  Or perhaps a post ride snack, food (like Dave's hotdogs), or drink?
The fourth beatitude is: "Blessed are those who hunger and third for righteousness, for they will be filled."  Matthew 5:6.
During the first three weeks we discussed how the beatitudes build off each other.  First, we acknowledge we are broken (poor in spirit).  Second, we mourn or week over our brokenness and separation from God.  Third, we are humbled by our brokenness (we are meek).  Jesus says that all of that should lead to a hunger and thirst for righteousness - a hunger and third like no other.  We should be in desperate search for a right relationship with God and acting according to that created purpose (that is what it means to be righteous).  This should be a constant hunger and thirst - we get filled, but we keep hungering and thirsting for God, again and again.  Jesus says those that hunger and thirst for a right relationship with God and act according to that created purpose will be filled.
Questions to ponder:
1. What are you hungering and thirsting for on a daily basis?  Bike parts? Dave's hotdogs?  Or that right relationship with God (both individually and as a collective humanity).  Is it a constant hunger and thirst?
2. Are you bothered by the injustices that occur to others or only concerned with the injustice that impacts your own life.  A right relationship with God doesn't just mean our personal relationship with God, but also the corporate (collective humanity) relationship with God.  This is the call to action.
