What's up this week with
Believers On Mountain Bikes (BOMB)

Weekly Update

Reminder we start at the Evergreen Lake house for the Three Sisters ride.

Deer Creek last week was great (picture above).  Trails didn't clog up, people were nice and you could tell everyone was just glad to connect and linger.  Had some good discussions about faith, what was going on in the world and of course bikes.  Didn't make it to Deer Creek? We ride every Thursday and there several other chances this summer to ride Deer Creek.

If you plan on attending the ride this week in Evergreen,  we are planning on bringing our own snack/drinks and going to nearby home -  11 min away.  Will have some hot dogs and burgers to share, but you will need to decide for yourself on how to approach a gathering and food.  Hope  to safely visit in someone's back yard afterwards in lieu of our normal post ride hot dogs. We'll have the address at the event and remember we park at the Lake House to start this ride.

Sometimes, I just get tired climbing some trails like Belcher, Plymoth, Bergen.  I often stop to rest, sometimes just turned  around.  So many hard climbs in Colorado to wear you down.  This doesn't happen to God, the year 2020 is not too much for Him. He is inexhaustible
  • His love, inexhaustible
  • His grace, inexhaustible
  • His mercy, inexhaustible
  • His power, inexhaustible
Ephesians 1:15-22
15 For this reason I too, having heard of the faith in the Lord Jesus which exists among you and your love for all the saints, 16 do not cease giving thanks for you, while making mention of you in my prayers; 17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of Him. 18 I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, 19 and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe.

Verse 15 - all means all, that's all that all means.  All the Saints is a community and family that extends across geography, race and denominations.

Verse 17 - Paul is praying that we would grow in our wisdom and revelation of the nature and person our Lord.  True then, true now. Troubled, need direction? Turn your eyes on the Lord.  15 min of reading scripture will do you more good than social media sniping and doom scrolling any day.

Verse 19 - we have a God that has unlimited, unconstrained power.  In times of trouble often the Church as thrived as people turn to the Lord. The year 2020 is not too much for God, his greatnes and power is inexhaustible.

The June/July part of our schedule could allow for better parking and less crowded parks.

There is already guidance on how to safely enjoy the parks and trails. Most people have been riding, including groups like ours. If you feel the need to to tell people what to do, it may not have the impact you hope.
If we have more than 10 RSVP, we'll can stagger meet up times. If things change we can always go back just meeting up on your own to ride together.

From JeffCo Parks:
DO NOT visit parks and public areas if sick; stay home, seek medical care
DO NOT gather in groups larger than 10
Practice social distancing of at least 6’ in parks, trail heads, trails.
Bring your own hand sanitizer and/or hand washing supplies.
FACE COVERING strongly recommended; use when near others or when passing on the trail
High-risk visitors, use discretion for park visits and public restroom use

Waiver: Mountain biking can result in injury. By attending this ride you acknowledge the risk as stated in the group waiver
