June 2020 Newsletter
Pierce County has moved to Phase 2 and we’re getting ready to open!

We're excited to announce that the Paint Your Own Pottery Studio and the Gallery will be open to customers starting Friday, June 12th.  The Pottery Studio will be available for open studio time starting June 15th.

In order to follow State guidelines on physical distance, we can have up to 8 people painting pottery in the studio, and no more than 4 people per table.  Everyone at the table should be painting.
We'll be taking reservations for tables on Saturdays and Sundays with a $5/seat deposit, which will be applied to pottery painted.  Walk-ins are welcome during the week and as space allows on weekends.

Reserve a Table

We are still doing pottery-to-go kits and you can now come in to pick out your items and we will pack it up with paints for you to paint at home.

Pottery Studio Update

For 2 weeks, starting June 15th, we’re going to do a “soft opening”. This won’t be a class, but will be open studio time for people who have already taken classes from us. No more than 6 people will be in the pottery studio at one time (not including staff).

(If you are a student at Throwing Mud Gallery and didn't receive my email with the details, please let me know.)

If all goes well, we plan to start classes up again the week of June 29th.  We will still have to follow physical distancing guidelines, so class size will be much smaller. We're still figuring this out, so stay tuned for more details on that.

Mark says:
There's lots of glazed and bisque pottery in the studio!  Come in anytime starting June 15th to pick up your finished pottery or schedule studio time to glaze. Even if you aren't continuing with classes, you have time to finish your pots.

 Have you bought your
Throwing Mud Gallery T-shirt yet?

T-Town Apparel came up with a brilliant #TACOMASTRONG campaign to support small businesses in Tacoma. For every $20 T-shirt sold, $10 goes to TTown and $10 goes to the other small business, and YOU get a locally printed shirt with our logo!  It's win/win for everybody!
