New Hours!

Small Business Saturday - November 25

Shop Small is about more than just shopping at small businesses. It’s a cause that helps to support local economies and promote vibrant, diverse communities. It’s also a nationwide movement fueled by shoppers, business owners, and organizers who come together and celebrate the community because they know it matters.

Pottery classes are filling up, but we still have room in two of the pottery classes beginning this week!

  • Thursdays, 6 to 8:30pm
  • Saturdays, 10am to 12:30pm
The $210 registration fee for new students includes instruction, 25# of clay, glazes & firing, plus we give you additional time in the studio to practice.  A basic toolkit is required and available for purchase.

Returning students:  $195 for 6-week session
Students with 1+ years with us:  $185 for 6-week session

More details on our website.
Pottery Students:
We will not have pottery classes the week of November 20-25 for Thanksgiving.  You may still use your open studio hours:

Nov. 20-21:  10am to 8:30pm
Nov. 22: 10am to 3pm

The pottery study will be closed  Nov. 23-26, except for pick up.
New Items in the Gallery

Dunole designs and creates each of her pieces by hand using only the traditional methods of leather work. There is some machine work, but all accent thick stitching is done by hand. Each one is made with great attention to detail and uses American made leather & Pendleton Wool.

Jeff Tinius mixes his own glazes and uses a high-fire reduction stoneware to achieve the subtle finishes of his individually handcrafted “Seafood Ware” collection. As a result of this process, each piece has a slightly different color, making it unique.

Gale Lurie creates forms that are beautiful, useful and affordable.  She loves to hear how her works have been used and treasured over the years. Her style is very eclectic and she loves to try new techniques, glazes and firings.  All of her creations are truly one of a kind.

We want to welcome Forest McLendon to Throwing Mud Gallery!  Forest will be working in the gallery and both pottery studios. Be sure to say "Hi!"
