Apply for remote NASA newsroom internship!

If you're interested in science journalism, consider applying for a paid NASA newsroom internship. Opportunities for spring and summer internships in journalism, social media and video news are available now — and they're mostly remote! There's also separate spring and summer opportunities for native Spanish-speaking students. The deadline is Friday, Nov. 26.

Emmalee Mauldin (at left), a 2019 University of Arizona School of Journalism graduate, participated in three NASA internships, and she's now a social media and communications specialist at Redwire Space in Jacksonville, Florida. Contact Mike Chesnick with questions about the internships or credit.

Land a cool reporting job after graduation
Report for America is looking to place more than 100 journalists in local newsrooms to report on under-covered issues and communities. If you're graduating in December 2021 or May 2022 — and you're interested in applying — please contact Mike Chesnick. RFA has scheduled a Dec. 1 info session for students from 1:30 to 2:15 p.m. (Tucson time). RFA will schedule interviews with students in December and January. Review this FAQ to help you prepare.

And remember, I've moved to another office — Marshall 343. The best way to enter is from the side door near Room 342 (Harelson Lab).

Enjoy your weekend, and see lots of NEW listings below and extended deadline for the Hearst news and features photo contest.
