Deadline for internship credit: Feb. 4

 If you’d like to receive credit for your internship this semester, please turn in your paperwork ASAP. The deadline is Friday, Feb. 4To earn academic credit, you’ll work with your supervisor to submit the following form — Internship Work Plan — to me at mchesnick1@arizona.edu. Undergrads, you need to decide whether you want credit for part-time or full-time internships. For grad students, info for variable credits is HERE. 
 

Save the date: Feb. 25 Spring Internship Fair

We're still finalizing some details, but please keep Friday, Feb. 25, open to interview for summer and fall 2022 internships. The interviews, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., will be in-person and remote, depending on the recruiter's preference. We expect to post a sign-up sheet link by next Thursday! Still available! Star needs 2 feature apprentices

The Arizona Daily Star apprenticeship class (JOUR 405/505) has two reporter openings for the spring semester on the features desk. The class is an excellent way to get published clips. Send an email of interest, your résumé and three of your best published works by Monday, Jan. 24, to Prof. Jeannine Relly (jrelly@arizona.edu) and Curt Prendergast (cprendergast@tucson.com). The three-unit class runs the full semester and meets Wednesdays from 4 to 5:30 p.m. in Marshall 340. Undergrad students must have taken JOUR 306 (advanced reporting) and 208 (Law of the Press); grad students must have completed JOUR 506 (introductory/advanced reporting).

Arizona Daily Wildcat has 2 editor openings

The Arizona Daily Wildcat still has openings this semester for Social Media Editor and Multimedia Editor. APPLY HERE. Email jtthorpe@dailywildcat.com if you have questions. The Wildcat newsroom is located on the third floor of the University Services Building (888 N. Euclid Ave.; behind CVS).
 

Arizona Football offers media internship

Kim Becker, team reporter for the University of Arizona football team, needs a broadcast student to fill an immediate spot as a sports reporting and video production assistant intern. The spring internship is unpaid, but you can gain three class credits through the School of Journalism. Students will work mainly during the weekdays and must be proficient in Premiere Pro, Photoshop and on-air reporting.  Upload your résumé and a few examples of your work HEREDeadline: Monday, Jan. 24
