Molly Cox named official President & CEO of SA2020

A Letter from SA2020 Board Chair Sonia Rodriguez

Dear Friends,

I’m thrilled to announce that the Board of Directors of SA2020 has voted unanimously to appoint Molly Cox as the President & CEO of SA2020. Molly served as the organization’s Chief of Engagement for two years before being appointed as Interim President & CEO in February of 2015. Molly’s strengths are community engagement and action, and her continued commitment to SA2020 is good news for the organization and for San Antonio!

In the last six months, SA2020 launched an online partner application to engage and convene nonprofit organizations in San Antonio. SA2020 also revamped SA2020.org to be more outcomes-driven. And under Molly’s leadership, SA2020 has increased its outreach and visibility: this year alone, the SA2020 team has been involved in 81 community events and volunteered over 200 hours.

Because of this, it is no surprise that under Molly’s leadership SA2020 has seen an 87% increase in individual and corporate donations to the organization. SA2020 also partnered in the fund development of other organizations, including KLRN’s Blazing Gavels and the BigGiveSA campaign #Give2020, which asked donors to give to an SA2020 partner, as well as SA2020.

SA2020 is making a tangible impact in San Antonio, and we see that through its most recent work with the Talent Pipeline Task Force, which released a report providing clear strategies for local industry and education systems to address San Antonio’s existing and future workforce needs and strengthen our homegrown workforce.

I’m proud to support SA2020. What began as a collective community vision in 2010 is now a full-fledged, brick-and-mortar non-profit organization with supporters and champions and an outstanding staff committed to transforming community visions into reality. SA2020 does this in three ways: it collects and analyzes data; it supports and convenes coalitions and partner organizations; and it engages the community to act.

The Board of SA2020 is committed to the good work of the organization and is fortunate to have Molly Cox at the helm.

Thank you for all you do to make San Antonio even better!
Sonia Rodriguez
Chair, SA2020 Board of Directors

We connect the community for a stronger San Antonio.

SA2020 is a nonprofit with the mission to serve as the catalyst for progress toward the community vision. To do that we measure progress, support partners, and engage the public in action.
