Please describe your Aquatics Background? When did you start? Why do you love aquatic activities?
I learned to swim late in life (49) at a pool that was built next to my elementary school in 1972, but I didn't actually get into the water until 2013. First it was the aqua aerobics class for my arthritis; later it was taking lessons to learn how to swim because I was going to make 2013 the year I was going to learn.
I love the water because its so magical and peaceful at times and can give you a great workout and has many other benefits.

What are your aquatic interests?
Recreational swimming, training to be a better swimmer, aquatic fitness and sharing water safety and fitness information. I look forward to traveling and learning how to scuba dive and visit other pools in other states/countries.
Additional involvements in aquatics
Joining Diversity in Aquatics because I met members at the pool and they invited me to join and I have joined the YMCA to have more access to the pool.
What are some other things you would like the members to know about you or your program(s)?
I would love for members to know that I didn't learn until my 40's and Boston Centers For Youth and Families has great pools and aquatics staff!
