MyFrenchFilmFestival.com is back!
18 January  - 18 February 2016

From 18 January to 18 February 2016 film lovers from around the globe will have access to the complete selection from the world’s first online festival of French Cinema, created by UniFrance films.

Ten French feature films and ten French shorts will be presented in competition during the 6th MyFrenchFilmFestival.com

 
The website and films showcased during the festival will be accessible in more than 13 languages!

Irish audiences can watch all of the films on www.Volta.ie: Ireland's only independent Video On Demand platform.

French films on tour in Ireland!
January - April 2016
The French Embassy has worked closely with Access Cinema to present two French films to a wide audience in Ireland. 
Over 28 screenings are now scheduled across the country for you to enjoy!
"Dans la cour/In the Courtyard" (2014) 
Directed by Pierre Salvadory, featuring Catherine Deneuve 
Antoine quits his rock band, takes a job caring for an old building in Paris, and develops a close friendship with a recently retired woman.

Inspired by the winning award movie " LA MÔME" which was a worldwide success ,PIAF! THE SHOW tells the amazing story of the life and career of Edith Piaf through all of her hit songs with the amazing voice of French singer Anne Carrere.

The show is part of the official celebration of the 100th anniversary of the birth of EDITH PIAF  held in December 2015 in Paris.

Become an English Language Assistant for 7 months in France!
Deadline for application: 30 January 2016
This scheme is aimed at students who are aged between 20 and 35, who have completed at least two years of higher education from any discipline by the time they take up their posting and who have a working knowledge of the French language. All eligible students will be entitled to a monthly stipend.
 
The assistantship is a unique opportunity and a valuable life experience. As well as improving your language skills, gaining in-depth knowledge of French life and culture, a year abroad can also boost your future employability.

French teachers: spend a 2 weeks professional visit in a school in France
Developed in partnership with the Department of Education and Skills, the French / Irish Teacher Professional Visit Scheme allows up to 18 teachers from France to visit second-level schools in Ireland for two weeks, and up to 18 Irish teachers of French to visit second-level schools in France for two weeks on similar terms.
 
The objective of the scheme is to facilitate applicants in the area of professional development and also to develop school partnerships.

Applications for 2016/2017 are open until 12th February 2016.

French Artist Guillaume Cousson awarded 16x16 Next Generation 
The 16 x 16: Next Generation bursaries are awarded to innovative young artists, in a special initiative of the Arts Council and the Ireland 2016 Centenary Programme.

French artist Guillaume Cousson was among the bursaries met by President Michael D. Higgins at a special event in Áras an Uachtaráin on December 16th 2015.
