Join us behind the hall on September 4 for our first Boards and Beers fundraiser Corn Hole Tournament! The best part is to come and watch and enjoy the festivities if FREE to enter!
You come to enjoy food, music and watch the tournament OR you can join into the tournament with a team of 2! If you want to play make sure you register before all the team slots fill up!
Proceeds from the event will be split between the Sunalta CA and CJSW. We have generous beer and cider donations from Blindman Brewing, ABX, Last Best Brewing, Tailgunner Brewing and Uncommon Cider! How lucky we are to have such an awesome community of people and businesses.

We are so lucky to have crossed paths with Sue Shane. She will be storytelling at SunTots next week on August 18, if you have kiddos make sure to bring them for story time at the hall from 1030AM-11AM.
If you can't make it to SunTots Sue-Shane is putting on her own Story Times 2 Saturdays this month behind the hall in the green space on AUg 21 and Aug 28 from 1130AM-1PM. We are so excited to have you Sue-Shane!
Sue-Shane Tsomondo is a poet, educator, curator and the creator of Sue’s Stokvel, a Calgary-based literary arts platform. Sue’s Stokvel highlights the work of Black, Indigenous and People of Colour (BIPOC) writers. Shehas previously performedfor Woolfs’ Voices and Single Onion. In 2020, Sue-Shane appeared on the cover of the Calgary Journal. Sue-Shane has also been featured in Arts Commons, Avenue Magazine,The Calgarian podcast, In Rehearsal podcast and the Artful Conversations podcast. In 2021, Sue-Shane (Sue’s Stokvel) partnered with Humainologie to create The Khumbul’ekhaya project + workshop for Empathy
