DESERT MOB 2014

Ngurratjuta Iltja Ntjarra will have a presentation at this years DESART's symposium:

A glimpse into the future of the Hersmannsburg watercolour movement by the Ngurratjuta Iltja Ntjarra / Many Hands artists.

"We, the artists from Ngurratjuta Iltja Ntjarra / Many Hands Art Centre, would like to reflect on our traditional style of painting, which has become the source material for our new collage work.  We want to share with you the process of making collages".

Ngurratjuta Iltja Ntjarra will also be screening a short animation that their grandchildren and friends at the Ntaria school made during intergenerational workshops with the Namatjira project.  "We showed the little ones how to paint in watercolours and we are passionate about passing on the tradition to younger generations. We are very proud that our young people are venturing into the digital realm."

Don't miss our presentation at the Desert Mob Symposium:
Araluen Arts Centre, September 5, 10am - 3.30pm

And there is more... come down to The Araluen Arts Centre on Saturday, September 6th between 10am and 2pm grab a coffee and some lunch and explore the marketplace and artworks for sale from our Art Centre.
