A monthly newsletter informing you of initiatives and happenings in the stabilisation industry in Australia

Dear <<First Name>>

In September 2015, AustStab:

  • Drafted the AustStab's new Technical Specification for Unsealed Roads
  • Participated in specification reviews internally and with Ausspec
  • Donated funds raised at our conference charity auction to Cure Brain Cancer. Thank you Team Downer for this valuable donation!
  • Promoted the 2015 Edition of the AustStab Guide
  • Started work against the new strategic plan and revised pillars.
Some upcoming events:
  • 7th October 2015 - AustStab Council Meeting
  • 13th October 2015 - Standards Committee Meeting
  • 16th  October 2015 - Swinburne University AUGLP Visit
  • 21st October 2015 - Queensland Working Group Meeting
  • 12-14 November 2015 - ACE Expo Melbourne - AustStab Exhibition
As I mentioned last month, AustStab is continuing to focus on the benefits of high volume stabilisation in unsealed pavements. With our research partner, IPWEA NSW, we are interesting in trialling the new construction specification and documenting the short, medium and long term sustainable (economic, social and environmental) benefits of unsealed pavements with innovative black soil pavement designs - building on the previous research undertaken in the  federally funded unsealed pavement study. The trial is currently partially funded. If your are interested in participating in the trial please contact AustStab for further information.
