Collaboration, Narration and Education are the pillars of AustStab

This year we again had a fantastic response to the AustStab Awards of Excellence. We awarded 5 category awards and 3 highly commended awards. We also conferred two Honorary Memberships to Peter Evans and Jothi M Ramanujam, for substantial contributions to the Stabilisation and Pavement Recycling Industry. Click here for photos from the night.

As the budgeting period will now be mostly behind asset managers, attentions will be turning towards planning and execution of annual maintenance programs. I recommend trying to engage with the contractors with as much notice as possible to ensure that the program is optimised to deliver the best value to the asset owner. With the school holidays approaching, it is also valuable to consider any pavement recycling and stabilisation in close proximity to schools.

Insitu Stabilisation Construction Guide

AustStab_ConstGuide_Cover

AustStab, with Austroads, permission has reprinted a construction guide that was last produced in 2006, which is now out of print with Austroads. We value this initial work done by the Austroads.

The Construction Guide should be considered to be an asset to any construction professional working in the stabilisation and pavement recycling sector. It is a handy A6 sized format, so that it should slip easily into the pocket of a construction professional. For more information click here.
