Stabilising Australia's Future - Survey Results

In 2013 AustStab celebrated the 18th AGM and Conference on the Gold Coast.

We thank all delegates who chose to participate in the follow up survey. Some of the key finds were:

  • 100% of members rated the new workshop session as valuable or very valuable
  • The informal dinner event on the first evening sponsored by Wirtgen was valued highly by members
  • The Gala dinner and Awards ceremony were rated at a positive or very positive networking event
  • In the future 70% of members would like to see technical or formal presentations incorporated into the agenda
All comments and feedback will be forwarded to the Council as part of the planning for the 2014 event in the Hunter Valley.

Accreditation and auditing

This month we continued auditing our members for accreditation.

Accredited members must submit documentation to AustStab and ARRB before an audit. A desktop audit is conducted on this information.

Field audits are then conducted, with AustStab and ARRB representatives. We attend the head office of contractors being audited to verify compliance with the AustStab ARRB accreditation system. We visit field operations to verify staff experience and skills, as well as inspecting equipment and verifying the performance of the operators.

Reference checks are completed following the site audit, with recent clients of the contractor being contacted.

This information is collated. A final report is prepared for the final accreditation registration process, including formal review by the Standards Committee.

<<First Name>> - Organisations don't need to be a member of AustStab to be accredited as a contractor under the system.
