Welcome to the 14th edition AustStab newsletter - eStab.
In June2013 at AustStab:
The 2nd annual awards nominations close today;
We accepted our new member applications;
We continued the ongoing review on our Technical Notes;
We opened the registrations for the 2013 Conference on the Gold Coast - Stabilising the Future;
We continued working with ARRB on accrediting contractors in accordance with our accreditation scheme;
Continued to work on the association pillars of education, research, promotion and setting standards.
Awards of Excellence 2013
In 2013 AustStab will celebrate the 2nd Award for Excellence. Award nominations have been received for projects completed, or 80% complete. Entry closes today. The winners will be announced in a Gala Dinner at the AustStab AGM on the Gold Coast on 13 August 2013. Finalists will be contacted by the end of the July, with an invitation to attend the Gala dinner and awards.

Member Profile - New Members accepted
At a meeting of the AustStab council in June 2013, five new members were approved for membership with AustStab. The new members accepted are primarily contracting members. The contracting members will obtain a probationary status for 12 months. During this period they will be subject to a system and field audit completed by AustStab in conjunction with ARRB. Subject to their statisfactory audit and completion of the probabationary period, they will receive a full member status in June 2014.

2013 AustStab Conference - Stabilising the Future
Each year AustStab members join together at the annual conference. The location of the conference changes each year as we are a national association with members located in all states and territories of Australia. This year's conference will be hosted on the Gold Coast, Queensland on 12 - 14 August 2013.
The agenda for meetings have been finalised and are available to view on the AustStan website.. Please keep checking back on the website for more information regularly.
