Reminder about the parent/child dedication coming up in May. Jesus always took complicated things and made them simple... listen on to see what else Pastor Tim says about this. Don't forget to register for service this weekend!
One of the things Erin and I have been working on this year is parenting (and living) with more intentionality. This article from Rooted gives some great advice from “The Wisdom Pyramid” (Brett McCracken, 2021) that will help you and your family set priorities and “set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth." (Colossians 3:2, ESV). I’m praying for you and your family to have wisdom this week. Holler if you need anything! — Pastor Jonathan
Isaiah 61: 1-3

"He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and freedom to the prisoners; to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor, and the day of our God's vengeance; to comfort all who mourn, to provide for those who mourn in Zion; to give them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, gladness instead of mourning and garments of praise instead of despair. And they will be called righteous trees, planted by the Lord to glorify Him."

An aspect of worship that is rarely talked about is sacrifice. Now, we no longer practice the type of sacrifices recorded in the Old Testament. However, Romans 12:1 says we are to be "living sacrifices." We sacrifice in different ways, but primarily what we sacrifice is our preferences; we put off the attitude of demanding our way. Trying to live in the constant demand of our preferences or desires is heavy but laying down those desires is light. Jesus said my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. If you feel like your life is under heavyweight today, try replacing all the areas you have expected your way with sacrifice and praise. The Lord, quoting Isaiah 61, said that he has come to give us beauty for ashes, gladness instead of mourning, and garments of praise instead of despair. I pray these songs we will be singing Sunday will help you worship as we prepare to gather.

Yet Not I But Through Christ In Me

This week I just wanted to give you a quick update on happenings in the children’s ministry!

Preschool: Our Preschool Sunday attendance is continuing to increase! We are so glad to see many families returning to in person worship and we are also thankful for many visitors to GraceLife with preschool boys and girls! As we begin to split up classes in the preschool department, we are praying for volunteers who would be willing to share the love of Jesus with these boys and girls on a monthly or weekly basis – please see Stephanie Hambrick if you would be interested in helping out!

Children’s Worship: We are going to be beginning a new series on May 2 called Post it Notes from God. These are 8 messages that God doesn’t want boys and girls to forget as they grow up!

VBS is coming this Summer 2021! We will be holding VBS here at GraceLife starting 12 weeks from this Sunday – July 18-22 from 6:00-8:30 pm.
We invite you to GraceLife Kids and family cookout on May 16 directly after the morning worship service! We will be having a hot dog cookout for all elementary and preschool boys and girls and their families. There will also be blowup toys that day for them to play on! We do need to have a headcount, so please go to to sign up.
Our local Pregnancy Resource Center is holding their annual fundraising Walk for Life on tomorrow, April 23rd! We have several GraceLifers that are participating this year and would love for you to join their team or just give your support! Head over to the Walk for Life website to see the GraceLife teams and walkers and to find out more information!
On Mother’s Day, May 9, we will be having a Baby Dedication during both morning services. If you would like to dedicate your baby or young child to the Lord, please Pastor Dave know.
