Happy Thursday Church Family!

In a family that honors God, each of the family members love one another and have responsibilities in the home to help make things run smoothly. Family members spend time together and genuinely try to get to know one another on a deeper level. In a church family it is important that each member of the family seeks to genuinely love and serve others in the church body. But how do we do that? What does that look like? Here is an article that may help you to think about what your “personal ministry” should be in the local church.

Hebrews 10:21-23

"Since we have a great priest over the house of God, let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful."

Can you remember a time when you received an empty promise? Or maybe you have given one? I can tell you I have been on both sides, and I'm sure you have too. But, although we have broken promises, God does not. What He says will come to pass. What He promises will be fulfilled. His faithfulness is sure. His work in and through us is continuous whether we see it or not. In Psalms, it says He never sleeps. He never takes His eyes off of you and me. Sometimes we can feel as though, He is distant or not paying attention to us. At this point, our faith must dictate to our feelings the truth of His Word, which often happens through songs. So, here are songs we will be singing to remind our souls that He is good and faithful.
