He won’t take credit for it, so we’ll give it to him.

Dr. Doug Fisher — friend, teacher and colleague — has built Marquette’s Operations & Supply Chain Management program from the ground up into what is today the 14th  ranked program in the nation, 15th  ranked in the world, and 3rd ranked internationally in program content.
Not bad for a good ol’ boy from Kansas, and a point of pride for OSCM alumni, like Todd Filter, Bus Ad ’00, Group Vice President of Operations at Direct Supply:
As one of the original graduates from the OSCM program, I have been blown away by the development, growth, and national prominence that the program has achieved under Doug’s leadership. He has worked tirelessly to make it one of the preeminent Supply Chain institutes in the country, while integrating it into the fabric of the local business community.”
Well, now, after 11 years at Marquette and more than 40 years in industry, Doug is retiring.  We want to do something special to honor the occasion—gold watches and golf clubs won’t cut it. Let’s do something Doug will really love: raise money for his pride and joy, the Center for Supply Chain Management!
We’re all chipping in, and we invite you to join us. Gifts large and small are welcome; your support will mean more to Doug than the dollar amount. We’ve made it easy for you – just click here to make your tax-deductible gift right now.
“I congratulate Doug on his accomplishment and his retirement, and I look forward to our collective mission to continue supporting the program he built.”  – Mark Cotteleer, Research Director, Deloitte.
Doug will be missed, but before he is, let’s show him he’s loved! Make your gift now and give him the peace of mind of knowing that his legacy — the Center for Supply Chain Management — will keep expertly training supply chain professionals for years to come ... while he’s sipping mint juleps in the shade along the banks of a long, lazy river.
“As a professor, mentor and friend, Doug has impacted many during his time at Marquette. I will be forever grateful to have had the opportunity to learn from him while there. Please join us in helping to preserve the legacy that represents all the time and effort Doug put into making this program what it is today.”  - John F. Mau, Bus Ad ’14, Grad ’16, Emerging Markets Manager, Rockwell Automation
