It is with a great and deep sadness that we announce the passing of my Pan-Africaniist brother Mzee N'namdi Afi Sikumbuzo who joined the ancestors yesterday morning a 1:30am. He passed away from medical complication from surgery. He helped to start the pre-rites of passage Boyhood to Manhood program, He was the first Vice President of the Pan-African Associations off American, He helped to start the first Nakumbuka Day ceremonies in the United States of America. He was an elder in the Rites Of Passage program in San Diego. He helped to establish the only African centered Charter School in San Diego, The Fanno Academy. He was a mentor for African descended male children in San DIego.
He was a great Pan-Africanis and lover of African people. Now he will be with us in the realm of the ancestors. He has stood his Pan-African watch in a way that others only talk about doing. We will miss you for as long as the rivers flow and the sun shines. With much Penda (Love), Hotep, Anissogoma, Sawubona, Harambee and Nakumbuka!
