VCS Launches New Website and Membership Opportunities

The Veterinary Cannabis Society is excited to announce the launch of our new website, and the opportunity to join as a member of our organization!
The mission of VCS is to create lasting solutions that ensure the safe use of cannabis in pets through education, advocacy, and promoting product standards. The new website lays the foundation to achieve this by providing information and resources.
The most exciting part of our website is our Membership Area. Designed especially for Veterinary Professionals, Pet Parents, and the Cannabis Industry, annual memberships are an easy way to access resources, including a curated article library, critically-reviewed articles, podcasts, presentations and more. The goal of this education platform is to share accurate information regarding cannabis in pets by experts in the field. The resources on the membership pages will be updated frequently, so members will have access to new information as soon as we do, without all the work of having to find it! Within the Membership Area, you will also find updated advocacy information on various veterinary cannabis legislative efforts.
On the pages available to the public, our Directory of Practitioners allows pet parents to connect with practitioners with cannabis knowledge. This list will continue to grow, so check it frequently! We also invite you to get involved by volunteering on one of our committees or becoming a corporate partner. As a nonprofit organization, VCS depends on people like you to help us build our programs, advocate at the local level, and lead our organization. Also, just as importantly, VCS depends on the generosity of people like you, who care about the safe use of cannabis as a valid treatment option for pets, so we invite you to make a donation by clicking here.
We are grateful for the companies, including Evermore Pet Food, Canna Companion, and Earth Buddy, who believed in our mission and have already become corporate sponsors. To join them in becoming a VCS partner, please click here.
And we’re not done yet! Upcoming plans for VCS in 2021 and 2022 are:
- Develop product standards by creating a ‘seal of approval’ for cannabis products.
- Inform and encourage advocacy at the national and state levels.
- Develop a Continuing Education Certification for Veterinary Professionals who want to utilize cannabis in their practice.
We encourage you to take the time to look through the website and Join Now as a member of VCS. Feel free to share this email with anyone you feel would also benefit from veterinary cannabis education and resources. We appreciate your support and look forward to achieving our vision of an educated and empowered global veterinary medical cannabis community!
Thank you for your continued support,
The Veterinary Cannabis Society Board of Directors
