Our new screening project in Manchester

This month we launched the pilot phase of our new Community Bowel Screening Volunteers’ Project with Cancer Research UK. Volunteers will work with GPs to encourage people to complete their screening test.

Fighting disabled toilet stigma


We are supporting Crohn's and Colitis UK's call to petition major supermarkets to install better signage on accessible toilet doors and fight stigma surrounding the use of disabled toilets.

Manchester Patient Day

Places are still available at our Manchester Patient Day on Saturday 3 December at the Christie, in co-operation with Dr Mark Saunders and the colorectal nursing team. The programme will feature talks on lifestyle after cancer.

Most valuable present for Theresa May


As the Prime Minister celebrated her 60th birthday this month, one thing she probably didn’t expect to receive was a giant reminder to complete her bowel cancer screening test.
 

But that’s exactly what we, along with Bowel Cancer UK delivered to her to mark the fact she is now eligible for the NHS bowel cancer screening programme.
