Warrior Women

Sherwood Park & Fort Saskatchewan locations paired up with Wes Hosford Elementary to experience the musical talents of Warrior Women. This mother and daughter duo provided an excellent performance of drumming and signing, as well as education on First Nations culture, traditions, and crafts. Students had the chance to be part of a ‘big drum’ circle and participated in a discussion on Spirit Animals.

Vegreville
Garden Project
Kaitlin and Connor carefully planting seeds.
Vegreville Next Step Senior High School students have continued growing their garden. Seeds of various vegetables and herbs have been planted indoors to be later transferred to the square foot garden located in the town. This project has been in collaboration with VALID. Students have enjoyed learning how to tend and care for a garden.
'Grad'ulations
Con’grad’ulations to Saarrth and Gavin on the completion of the DARE program offered by Peace Officer Jill Donaldson to Home Education students.  Both boys did a great job in the DARE lessons and on their speeches. Family members and staff attending the lunch celebration were very proud of their accomplishment as were Gavin and Saarrth.  Awesome tees.
