River Walk
Sherwood Park students went for a full day walk by the North Saskatchewan river. This has been an annual activity that Susan has organized for the students which includes a lunch, hiking and fellowship. Thank you Susan for another successful year!
Sustaining Tomorrow Today!
The trip Sherwood Park Next Step students took to U of A was a fun educational experience. The day started off with a sustainability tour. Students learned about some of the ways U of A is trying to lessen their Environmental foot print. The students then got to see U of A's environmentally friendly car. We then got to build an ecosystem in a bottle! Which was my favourite part! We all got a fish and a snail which many students came up with very creative names for; such as Sebastian Swam. To conclude our day we got the privilege of using the electron scanning microscope. We looked at everything from dead ants to beard hair. On the way back to school we got to eat cookies and drink pop. The perfect conclusion to the perfect day.
