Vegreville Salutes

This year March 13 - 17 was Substitute Appreciation Week. Some of the on-site programming in Vegreville is a direct result of the incredible substitute teachers they have had.

Last year, Harry Adams was a regular sub and it was his knowledge of and excitement about Square Foot Gardening that made our gardening projects possible. Thanks, Harry.

This year, Diane Hennig has been coming in regularly to work with our students. It was her connection with the Chicken Coop quilting club in Mundare and her sewing expertise that inspired our Doggy-bed Project. Thanks, Diane.

Samples of the square foot garden and doggy beds that Harry and Diane made possible.
Harry and Diane are retired teachers with full and rewarding teaching careers they can be proud of. And they still come back for more! As we built relationships with them they shared some of their passions and interests, which have inspired us and made our on-site programing richer and more exciting.
This year, we want you to know: Our Substitute Teachers Rock!
