Focus:  Transition

Dear Friends,

As you can tell by the title of the Newsletter, we are very pleased and happy to announce my transition from BHS to my own consulting company.  Mr. Tom Adams has joined BHS as its new President & Managing Director.

With this transition, please do not for one moment think that your experience with BHS will change in the slightest without me being the one actually leading the company. Our staff at BHS continues to provide the technical and customer support that you expect and deserve. I have complete confidence they will do their best for you. In addition, the best part is I'm still here at BHS in a consulting role so it will allow me to help in any way possible to make this transition smooth and easy. Please feel free to contact me via my cell phone and BHS e-mail address.

Now, let me introduce you to Tom.  He joins us with 30 years of experience providing engineered solutions to customers in a variety of industrial markets.   Tom has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Virginia and has led technical sales and service teams specializing in a number of process operations, including solid-liquid separation and solids drying.   Most recently, for over 19 years, Tom worked for the US subsidiary of De Dietrich Process Systems, a global leader in glass, glass-lined and deep-bed filtration equipment and systems.   There he had several roles, including heading up the aftermarket part of the business, leading the technical sales group, and finally he had responsibility for all the customer-facing parts of the organization.  He has experience working with customers in specialty chemical, pharmaceutical, and a number of other industrial markets.   You can reach Tom at tom.adams@bhs-sonthofen.com.

And now for the hard part, first…

It's hard to believe that this past June, I celebrated 20 years with BHS. As I reflect on my tenure and the many worldwide customers that I have had the pleasure of assisting over all these years, I am truly grateful to each and every one of you who have been loyal to BHS and have allowed me to assist you year after year. I have been fortunate through hard work, long hours, and a personal goal of making each and every one of your contacts with me an informative and productive experience to build many long lasting relationships and more importantly friendships over all these years. It has been these relationships that have been created with you that have kept me striving to make sure you receive the best possible service from BHS. Whether it was your first lab or pilot test, first purchase or repeat purchase, the friendships that have been created during our time together are truly invaluable to me. Let me say that the word “friends” in my mind are colleagues, customers, competitors, suppliers and many others who have helped me and BHS to succeed.

Finally, I sincerely thank all of you for everything over these years and I encourage you to contact Tom to meet him. I look forward to staying in touch with everyone and to supporting you.

With warmest regards and forever grateful,
