Call for Members of the Working group on School Students’ Structure Development
OBESSU has opened the call for applications for Members of the Working group on School Students’ Structure Development (SSSD). The Working Group focuses for example on empowering the student population in Europe and promoting and encouraging participation of students through democratically elected, representative and independent national school student organisations.
The deadline for applications is 15th of August 2012

DGS summer school: OBESSU as 'Organising Bureau of European School Student Unicorns'
OBESSU's Member Organisation Danske Gymnasieelevers Sammenslutning (DGS) held a summer school in Store Heddinge (Denmark) and around 30 board members and members of the DGS‘s secretariat participated. UN stresses the importance of youth
500 delegates gathered in New York earlier this week for the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) High-level Segment. Speaking on behalf of the European Union, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Labour and Social Insurance of Cyprus George Papageorgiou urged delegates to consider youth in their discussions: “We must increase and actively support opportunities for young people to gain access to productive employment and decent work, including investment in education and vocational training 500 delegates gathered in New York earlier this week for the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) High-level Segment. Online Survey - Seeking Youth Inputs for Secretary General's Youth Initiative
The United Nations is developing a System-Wide Action Plan on Youth that will affect the way the UN will work with and for youth in the future. Before developing this Action Plan, the United Nations is reaching out to youth, youth-led organizations and others for their inputs. The online questionnaire
