As announced at the parent meeting for all marching band parents we are implementing a Volunteer Credit Program to incentivize volunteerism. By earning 10 credits during the marching band season, you will receive a $100 credit off your marching band payment. To earn the credit, the marching band family must earn 10 credits. Incremental discounts for earned credits are not available.

Using the Sign Up Genius links below families are asked to commit to working on the various band committees. The credit value for the activity is listed on each sign up. In order to make it fair for all, we ask that each family sign up for no more than 10 credits at this time. This does not mean that you will not be needed and/or that you cannot volunteer for that activity; by all means, if it is something you enjoy, you are encouraged to share of your time. We ask that you hold off on volunteering for more than 10 volunteer credits to allow everyone equal opportunities to share of their time and talent. At the end of summer/beginning of the school year, those slots not yet signed up will be open and available to anyone.

Volunteers for this committee perform a variety of tasks, depending on your expertise, experience and comfort level. Tasks may include building, painting, sanding, etc.Shifts not yet defined, but likely will coincide with marching band practices. Earn 2 credits per 2 hour shift worked.
Jenison Invitational
The Jenison Invitational is our largest fundraiser for the band program. We host 40+ marching bands from around the State. The invitational begins around 9am and ends close to 11pm. Each marching band family is required to work two shifts for the invitational. There are numerous jobs to be filled: from helping in the parking lot, the halls, ticket sales, concessions, greeting bands and so much more!

Volunteer to prepare dinner or set-up/serve/clean up on the days of competitions and/or long practices.

Volunteers help with recruiting ads for the Jenison Invitational program from local businesses. Volunteers are provided a packet of information & scripting to assist in this process.
