As of July 1, 2019 here's what's new and happening at Play Buddy: 

SUMMER GREETINGS, Play Buddians! Mark and I hope you're so busy enjoying fireworks, quality time with friends and family, BBQs or picnics, and having lots of summer fun, to have read this in a timely manner. And if not, it's not too late - the season has just begun so get out and enjoy it while it lasts... after reading newsletter, of course. ;-)

Alrighty friends, grab a drink and/or a snack and get comfy because this one's going to be long-read and a doozy at that.

Not to sound redundant from the previous newsletter, but you undoubtedly noticed that  
every.single.buddy was updated (again... and again).  No, we did not confuse the 'J' months, and no, we haven't rescheduled this annual happening, but it was suddenly necessary. Why? Well...  

A BIG CHANGE: Our eCommerce provider (payment processor and serial number generator) has gone out of business. *gasp*

WHAT THIS MEANS: We have begun transferring accounts from old Digital River's eSellerate/ShareIt to new Soraco/Fastspring effective immediately. Here’s how it will transpire:

WE: will begin automatic seamless migrations to FastSpring beginning in July. If you manually migrate, we will make sure the old subscription is cancelled and - if appropriate - refunded. We will be available to answer any questions, address any issues, etc. 

YOU: will re-subscribe (sign up again) on the Fastspring platform here if your account is not automatically migrated and/or if you want to switch before your account has been automatically migrated.

This unfortunate loss of eSellerate is less than ideal for all of us. Mark and I recognize - and share - this inconvenience with you. We sincerely thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we do our best to make this transition as smooth as possible. 

On the bright side, after this road bump it's going to be a much smoother ride; Soraco/FastSpring is MUCH more user-friendly. Simply click here to have your license key emailed to you. Click here to enter your email address for subscription management. No more millions of order numbers. No more confusion or guessing what the 'most recent' order number is. Gone is the 10-step process to find your serial number. HOORAY

In other news, there is ANOTHER BIG CHANGE coming...

A few of you have contacted us asking if Buddies will work with the (currently Beta) 
new upcoming new Pogo experience. Mark will do everything in his power to ensure they do but WE NEED YOUR HELP: for the sake of working Buddies, Mark is requesting temporary (discreet) access to a beta account. Please contact us if you are interested in assisting with this endeavor. 

Speaking of Pogo and changes, quite a few Pogo Java games have been - and will continue to be - discontinued in the beginning and end of July. The associated Buddies have been - and will be - removed from the PBA. Future flash game removals will transpire in the same fashion. 

This is a sad time for all of us veteran players as we watch so many of our favorite or ‘why I joined Pogo’ games disappear, but we have hope that Pogo will continue to entertain us all and as long as they do, Mark and I will continue to provide the handy helpful sidekicks we all love and depend on: Buddies

Another Pogo game and associated Buddy has made its debut recently: Royal Wedding: One Year Later

Also the HD/HTML5 game re-makes of: Word Search Daily, 
Scrabble, Rainy Day Spider Solitaire, and Mahjong Gardens

Coming Soonish

As mentioned above, you can expect another MASS UPDATE or two as we get everything finalized with the payment/serial number migration and make the appropriate changes with the Pogo game - and associated Buddy - removals, AND the NEW POGO EXPERIENCE*

*When this new experience launches, we do not know how long it will take to fix the Buddies. EVERY Buddy WILL be broken but Mark will be working around the clock to get them all up and running. Priority will be given to the week's badge bots. We expect this process to take as little as one (1) day per Buddy, up to one (1) week.
