The ZUZU CHRONICLES

Zuzu, our greyhound at 5 months old

We've added a new puppy to our household!  A local greyhound rescue group that we work with received a pregnant foster and they asked us to adopt one of the puppies.  We have named her Zuzu (the name of one of the characters in the movie, Its A Wonderful Life). We post as much detail as possible about how we raise her, including not just training, but covering areas including the food we feed her, dental and nail trimming care, socialization, crate and house training and more.  Click here for a listing of these posts.

Guarding bones

When I get a call from a client concerned about a dog who is growling, snapping or even biting over bones or other valuables, people often seem to be skeptical that the behavior can be changed. It can!

Fortunately, Zuzu is NOT possessive about toys – she loves to share!

Nail trims

Many people are amazed when I tell them that nail trims for my dogs are drama-free, quick and require no restraint. Is that possible, you ask? Why yes, it is!

Romeo patiently allows me to trim his nails with no restraint needed.
