CIC Annual Report tabled

Federal Citizenship and Immigration Minister Jason Kenney tabled today the Annual Report to Parliament on Immigration, 2011.

The education outcomes of a cohort of immigrants who arrived in Canada as children were examined using the 2006 Census, and it was found that there may be a distinct pattern in the risk of immigrant children

We have redesigned the Settlement At Work newslettter. To bettter manage the mailing list by giving users more control over how they subscribe and get our bi-weekly newsletters and have new options for design and delivery, we have moved over to a new system using MailChimp. This new newsletter is part of our redesign of the Settlement At Work site, just implemented today.

The new Settlement At Work site is composed of 2 sites: a “wiki” (that was implemented back in January) and a “listings site” that you see here. Since 2004, Settlement At Work has had the same look and feel providing “Professional Development/Sector Resources for those working with Newcomers to Ontario“. 7 years and 650 articles later, we renew our commitment to provide a knowledge hub for the Settlement Sector in Ontario with the integration of the latest technology in collaborative tools to help us to reach our goal.
