Shabbat Shuva & Yom Kippur a time for giving

Rosh Hashanah was a lovely time for EBMC we welcomed many guests over the two days and  we have had such nice comments on both services held and taken by Philip Baker, Roland Brandman, Rabbi Danny Newman and Jack Buelcher.  Please remember that we have an open door policy for Yom Tov for the whole community, and we run a fully traditional egalitarian service.

A big thanks goes out to the Steering team for organising and making sure that both services at 96 were well organised and a big thanks to Keshet Dor for organising two very well run children's services and Caroline Zander for the delicious Honey Cake Cupcakes which was enjoyed by all.

MERGER NEWS
Our community is well underway with discussions regarding the merger.  We are happy to say that Rabbi Danny has offered to provide pastoral support to EMS, and this is a great wonderful time while our communities get to know each other better.

We have started meetings between our two shul Executives, have held joint activites between the two communities and EMS have hosted both Rabbi Danny Newman and Chazan Roland Brandman, both have been very well received.  Our exectuives are exploring the differences between our governance documnts and we will keep the community abreast of our progress and of our forthcoming plans.  Next year we hope to be having Yom Tov together as a merged community.
