It's a busy period ahead

Thank you all for making last weeks simchah such a special occasion, we had a packed service at Allum Hall.  We wish a hearty Mazel Tov to Naomi, Nikki and Big Brother Jensen Cowan on the birth of Jemima on 25 September 2019.

As you know we've been working very hard behind the scenes to make sure the next year at EBMC is packed with lots of new and different activities for both young and old.  We have been making progress with the merger and we have been preparing hard for our High Holy Days. Our high holy days are open to the whole and wider community and we do not turn away anybody who needs a service.  For security though please kindly rsvp here.

MERGER NEWS
Our community is well underway with discussions regarding the merger.  We are happy to say that Rabbi Danny has offered to provide pastoral support to EMS, and this is a great wonderful time while our communities get to know each other better.

We have started meetings between our two shul Executives, have held joint activites between the two communities and EMS have hosted both Rabbi Danny Newman and Chazan Roland Brandman, both have been very well received.  Our exectuives are exploring the differences between our governance documnts and we will keep the community abreast of our progress and of our forthcoming plans.  Next year we hope to be having Yom Tov together as a merged community.
