2017 Powell Street Festival by Lucas Lau

Happy New Year!

Serving as a cornerstone in Vancouver's Japanese Canadian community for over forty-one years, Powell Street Festival Society has grown into a contemporary venue for unique, experimental, interdisciplinary artwork.

In 2018, our offerings include:

  • The presentation of established contemporary international and domestic artists, as well as emerging and experimental performers. We provide fair compensation including travel costs and competitive artist fees while maintaining a free and accessible festival.
  • A curated array of new and returning craft and food vendors, and interactive activities, in our expanded site accommodating over 17,500 festival goers. During the year, we will reach out to communities beyond the Lower Mainland with artistic programming.

We need your support to help us reach these goals:

  • DONATE NOW and receive a tax receipt through Canada Helps or sign up for monthly donations!
  • Contact us at admin [at] powellstreetfestival.comto talk about in-kind donations, connecting us with potential sponsors or knowledge philanthropists, or bequeathing to the Powell Street Festival Society Legacy Fund.
