Richard Pope is a friend of Forget-Me-Not Baskets who supports our cause in numerous ways.  If you ever attended one of our Zumbathons, you would surely see him there.  Richard sadly passed away in December.  We are thankful that we captured a little video of Richard at our 2020 Zumbathon.  His kindness and spunk will be missed by all.
In November 2019, Amber and John Holder delivered a baby girl, Mary Ella, at 17-1/2 weeks gestation.  Amber had gone into preterm labor and there was nothing they could do to save the pregnancy. Mary Ella was born in her amniotic sac kicking and moving. Amber said, “since Mary Ella was born so early, we knew she wouldn't get to come home with us.  She surprised us all with 2 incredible hours of life.” After Mary Ella’s passing, Amber learned of Forget-Me-Not Baskets through a friend who gifted her a basket.

After a year of infertility and surgery, Amber and John found out they were finally expecting.  After two normal doctor’s visits, the 3rd visit left them heartbroken once again.  Their baby had stopped growing and no longer had a heartbeat. The Holders received another package from Forget-Me-Not Baskets, this time from a relative who had received a similar package after her miscarriage earlier. Amber shared that
These items, though simple, are tangible reminders that our children existed and had a meaning in this world. They are the reason my husband and I have the title Mom and Dad".
Ringle and Holder reached out to Baptist Health Hardin and connected with Family Support Nurse, Carol Black and let her know that the Holder family raised money to have Forget-Me-Not Baskets at Baptist Health Hardin.  They were both excited to share the news about the donation and the Forget-Me-Not Baskets program.
“This is an excellent opportunity for Baptist Health Hardin to assist in extending loving care to grieving families,” says Ringle.
Each basket donated to Baptist Health Hardin will have a tag or card stating that these items have been donated in memory of the Holder’s children.  Amber shared “this is a way for my children’s legacy to live on.”

ZUMBATHON

Stay tuned and dig out those 80's outfits!

We consider the silent heart, all the work done, out of sight, to make our baskets possible. It’s the day-to-day processes that no one really sees that make Forget-Me-Not Baskets a success.
