A beacon of hope and courage
on the corner of Beacon and Centre.
Eugene Peterson was a well-known pastor, scholar and poet most known for his paraphrase of the Bible called The Message. Even Bono was a fan.

Peterson's son, Leif, wrote a poem for his memorial service last month telling of his father's secret. His father's secret was that despite having written 99 books, he had only one message:

“For 50 years you steal into my room at night and whispered softly to my sleeping head. It’s the same message over and over: ‘God loves you. He’s on your side. He’s coming after you. He’s relentless.'”

May these words work their way deep into the soil of you spirit today.

Parent of Kids Lunch

On the second Sunday of each month, our parents with younger kids gather for lunch. All are invited to participate, so stick around after worship this week as we break bread together in the Chapel.

Early Christianity w/Dick Ransom

A great treasure of our Sunday morning experience is Dick Ransom, who over many years now has led numerous informal courses about a wide range of topics. Currently, you can find Dick and in the Gallery (via the Chapel) leading a discussion on early Christian writings.

There has been an important resurgence of curiosity in Protestant circles to revisit the early days of Christianity. You can join Dick any Sunday and contact him directly for more info.
