WHAT: Open House No. 6
WHEN: Thursday, October 29, 2015, 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
WHERE: Covington Middle School (cafeteria), 3700 Convict Hill Road, Austin, TX

No formal presentation is planned, and attendees are invited to come and go at their convenience. Project team members will be on hand to answer questions.

The Open House will feature:
  • An updated look at the design of Alternatives A and C, including artistic renderings of key intersections
  • The draft matrix for this third phase of evaluation
  • An update on designs and ideas for Context Sensitive Solutions including bicycle / pedestrian improvements and intersection aesthetics
  • Information provided at the recent Water Quality Workshop including off-site water detention
This is the sixth in a series of open house meetings since the study was launched in October 2012. TxDOT and the Mobility Authority remain committed to working closely with the community to identify the best possible solutions for addressing traffic congestion and increasing safety and mobility at the intersection of US 290 and SH 71 West through Oak Hill.

If you plan to attend the open house and have special communication or accommodation needs, please contact James Williams at (512) 832-7312.

CAN’T ATTEND THE OPEN HOUSE?

A concurrent Virtual Open House will also be available at www.OakHillParkway.com between Oct. 29 and Nov. 9, 2015. Those who are unable to attend the in person meeting will be able to review open house materials and exhibits, as well as submit their comments and questions.

We are in year three of a four-year environmental study process; no final decisions have been made and this is the time to help us design the best possible solution to meet the purpose and need of the project. You can learn more about the process here. Your suggestions, comments, and questions are important to us. Please feel free to contact us online or request a meeting with your stakeholder group or organization.
