TRANSFER OF SELC ECEC AND FITNESS PROGRAMS TO ALG

As you would be aware, SELC is ceasing delivery of the following courses effective from the end of the current academic term:
  • CHC30113 - Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care;
  • CHC50113 - Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care
  • SIS30315 - Certificate III in Fitness; and
  • SIS40215 - Certificate IV in Fitness
ALG is pleased to advise that it has reached terms with SELC for the transfer of its ECEC and Fitness programs to ALG, effective from the commencement of Term 3 2020 (July intake). The arrangement will facilitate the smooth transition of SELC students (and trainers) to ALG, ensuring minimal disruption to their study plans.
Please note the arrangement will only proceed if the majority of SELC students studying the qualifications transfer to ALG.

SELC transitioning students still need to apply to ALG (via our standard enrolment application form and process) and meet the ALG course entry requirements as outlined below. 

Standard ALG pricing applies, with the joining fee waived for T3 2020 commencements and a 10% discount on tuition fees for Term 3 2020 (in line with what our existing ALG students are receiving).


Basis of arrangement between SELC and ALG:
  • The SELC Early Childhood Education AND Fitness Program will transfer to ALG. This includes the SELC learning and assessment materials, the SELC resources used in delivery of the courses, the SELC trainers and program co-ordinator;
  • SELC students will be taught-out the remainder of their current course utilising the SELC materials, resources and trainers, where practicable;
  • SELC students will need to apply to ALG and satisfy ALG’s entry requirements for the course. This is required from a compliance perspective. As part of this, SELC students will need to provide proof of English language competency prior qualifications and complete an online Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) test;
  • SELC students that satisfy ALG’s entry requirements will receive a Letter of Offer from ALG and, upon acceptance, a Confirmation of Enrolment, for commencement in Term 3 on 13th July 2020;
  • ALG will not charge any RPL fees or additional fees to SELC students for resources during the remainder of their course;
  • Any tuition fees for Term 3 2020 and beyond that have been paid to SELC will be refunded to students and can be used to pay tuition fees to ALG.
ALG is pleased to be able to support SELC students through the arrangement.
