Best Wishes

We wish all of you a happy holiday! Enjoy the season and take a rest. We will be resting from December 23, 2019 until January 2, 2020. Look for more data and webinars to come in the new year!

From Michel, Mike, Jamie, and Mary (the whole CDP Team)

Home Energy Spending

As the days get shorter and colder, it’s an opportune time to talk about energy spending. Hopefully you have been hearing about the new tables in the catalogue on energy poverty. The tables are part of a new online mapping tool called the Energy Poverty and Equity Explorer developed by the Canadian Urban Sustainability Practitioners (CUSP) network. In November we hosted a webinar, “What is energy poverty and how is it measured?”, presenting the new tool and the tables. Also in November, a number people from Ontario gathered together for an in person meeting and hosted a data party with the tables. The tables themselves are available in the catalogue or by clicking here.

Upcoming Webinars

We currently have four webinars planned for the new year:
  • March 3rd, 2019 - Data Party on Debt
  • March 24th, 2019 - Orientation to the CDP and the Catalogue
  • Date TBD - Data in the Media
  • Date TBD - Orientation to the LIPS Portal
