MAKING it COUNT
Latest news from the Community Data Program Team

Product Profile vol. 2, issue 1: CIC Permanent Residents Rounded Count Research Data Cube

The Citizenship and Immigration Canada Permanent Residents Rounded Count Research Data Cube, or just CIC Data Cube for short, was the single most popular dataset last year.  Because it's new to the Community Data Program, we decided to dedicate our second Product Profile to explaining how it works.

Take a look if you're interested in using the Cube!

2013 Community Data Canada Roundtable Webinar: Measuring financial vulnerability in Canadian cities and communities

Join fellow community practitioners from across the country for the 2013 Community Data Canada Roundtable, a one-day interactive webinar on Wednesday, June 19.  This year's focus is on measuring financial vulnerability at the municipal and neighbourhood scale.  Topics and panellists are listed on the invitation.

Protocol for publications using TransUnion data

The TransUnion datasets are particularly new and exciting to the Community Data Program.  They measures non-mortgage consumer debt as well as risk of default at the Postal Code level.  If you intend to publish anything with TransUnion data, make sure to follow the protocol that we've established.

Stay tuned in June for updates on Taxfiler, Census, and NHS data!
