What's New at NBO
Welcome to 2021 and our first Over/Under of this new year. I want to share a quote I saw yesterday after shortly after the Presidential Inauguration. “Amanda Gorman is why the arts are more than an elective. Artists. Are. Necessary. Art. Is. Necessary.” I am so pleased to be the Executive Director of a vibrant Non-profit Arts Organization. The arts constantly challenge us, inspire us and lift us up in trying times. Thank you for being reading this OU.
Every January NBO welcomes new Board Members. This year Charissa Brock, Eric Stark and Cael Chappell will be joining the board. They each bring wonderful talents and tremendous enthusiasm to serve on our Board of Directors. Over the next couple of months, we’ll introduce you to each one of them. Take a look below to learn more about Charissa Brock.
We’re here to help you get the word out about any events and exhibitions that you’re participating in along with any classes you’re teaching. Start here at how to add your events to the NBO Calendar. While you are there, check out other listings at the same time. In addition to being shown on our website calendar, these events are also pulled for publication in NBO's Basketry+ magazine. Be sure to let us know what you’re up to.
Our Teachers Zoom continues to meet the second Thursday of the month at 11 am Pacific time. There is always a lively discussion filled with interesting ideas and many creative people. We’ll be having another MarketPlace meeting in February. To join these groups email me at Pam Morton.
Feel free to share this with your friends.
