Over/Under Newsletter Autumn 2022
The National Basketry Organization is an inclusive community of makers and enthusiasts whose purpose is to promote awareness, inspire creativity, and foster appreciation for the heritage and artistry of basketry.
What's New at NBO

Autumn is well underway. The leaves are turning their flaming colors. Where I live, in Northern California, we also have the vineyards alive with autumnal colors as the harvest ends. Time is once again racing by. The same goes for NBO. We’re hard at work finalizing the Conference details and registration will open soon.

Tradition and Innovation in Basketry 11
Save The Date: June 20th-24th 2023!

The National Basketry Organization’s Board and Staff are pleased to announce a return to the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Washington, in June of 2023 for our 11th Biennial Conference. There will be an registration e-blast announcement along with NBO social media announcements when it goes live.

Guild Committee
Our Guild Committee continues to meet monthly.  We have representatives from around the country. We would like to add some new guilds to our group. Are you involved in a guild that you think might want to join us? This group shares information on governance, projects that have worked well, and the problems that guilds face. Please email me, Pam Morton, with your interest. . We would love to have more guild members join the group.

Every 1 2022
There is still time to view the Every 1 2022 online Members Exhibit. There have been over 10,000 views to date! With over 160 baskets on display there is at least one basket or many baskets to intrigue and inspire you. We are happy to feature everyone who entered, both national and international members. This exhibit will be online 24/7 through December 31, 2022.

Please share this email with interested weavers!
