The Office of Arts, Culture and the Creative Economy's
Percent for Art Program Invites You
to Celebrate Tristin Lowe's Shooting Star
at Philadelphia's SWAT/Bomb Disposal/K-9 Headquarters

Update: Due to a change in schedule, this dedication will take place an hour later than it's previously scheduled time.  We apologize for the inconvenience and hope to see you there.

In conjunction with the Philadelphia Police Department and the Department of Public Property, we invite you to the dedication of Tristin Lowe's new public artwork, Shooting Star.  Located at Philadelphia's SWAT/Bomb Disposal/K-9 Headquarters in Northeast Philadelphia, the artwork is 32' 2" long and 4’ 4” in diameter.  It is composed of an array of powder-coated aluminum elements that, as a composite, represent the strength and unity of Philadelphia’s Special Forces units.

Join Mayor Michael A. Nutter, Police Commissioner Charles H. Ramsey, Chief Cultural Officer Helen Haynes, and other City officials as we celebrate this new public artwork.

Date and Time: Monday March 23, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. (previous time was 2 p.m.)
Location: 8501 State Road, Philadelphia, PA 19136 *

* The facility is located on the south side of State Road; upon entering, head to the end of the lot and park.  The headquarters will be on your left; look for the glass enclosed corridor where the artwork resides.  Please allow for a little extra time due to I-95 construction traffic.
